While I am not a liberal, I did vote for Obama and I sincerely hope that he turns around and does what is best for the country and the majority of it's citizens. Moore is right about Obama using what he has while he has it. The Republicans have found a common enemy for themselves and a good portion of the whites in America, and that enemy is Obama. They couch it in several terms, but it all boils down to racism. I never thought I'd live to see white Americans revert to racial attitudes that I thought were dead, but we can't deny what has happened. I remember my Dad and uncles changing partys back in the 60s because of the Civil Rights Act, and I remember why. It's the "southern stratagy" all over again, but this time on a national scale. It makes me sick to hear people who I thought were open-minded Christians say the things they say. It makes me ashamed to be considered one of them.

There is always a root of evil and it can all be traced back to 1 origin point (sounds almost like the theory of evolution in reverse) - when evil entered the world in the beginning. It's helpful to think of it in terms of authority: we were given divine authority to rule the earth as tenants. Temptation at the fall gave up our authority to the "ruler of this world", we sold ourselves into slavery for a meal (like Esau and his birthright). Evil reigned as we were "slaves to sin", cursed and afflicted. Christ redeemed himself as man for mankind by not succumbing to the authority and breaking its rule and being exalted as all authority and wiping away of debts in the year of the Lord's favour (with completion yet to come). Through Christ, who has now become our curse, we can regain our authority as co-rulers thus being free of the slavery of evil, disarming it and making a mockery. There is only 1 way as only 1 man has reclaimed the authority to redeem - kinsman redeemer .

sounds like the root of all injustice (personal and social) is sin and the solution to all of this is Christ (very sunday school answer, i know). as Christians, we are called to work with God to fight against evil before the end of time. the challenge then becomes how to determine which "evil" to vanquish first and whether we care enough to play a role.

hey Bert. Emailing you from an iPod Touch. I just was looking for good Christian software and I too think there's a dearth of stuff out there, even if one is willing to pay for it. But then again, if there's a market for a type of software, it's usually nonChristian companies that seem to snap up the tiny Christian companies. Kinda like Christian music labels. Just a thought. Not very profound, but then again I more wanted to write to say hi!
